Wild Academy: Minibeasts
April 6, 2027 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
A pond-dipping adventure awaits!
As spring bursts into life, join us outdoors to discover the fascinating world of minibeasts. Using identification guides, participants will explore our wildlife ponds to find out which creatures are hiding below the surface — from diving beetles to wriggling dragonfly larvae.
The session continues with a short nature walk to explore some of the best habitats for minibeasts around our site. Along the way, we will discuss how small changes can make a big difference for insects and other invertebrates in gardens and local green spaces.
Perfect for curious naturalists who love getting hands-on with nature!
Refreshments for attendees are included in the ticket price. Adults are welcome to stay, or children may be dropped off and collected at the end of the session.
Please note: Secret World is a working wildlife hospital, and for welfare reasons there is no contact with the animals in our care.
