Wild Academy: Helping Hedgehogs
October 28, 2024 @ 10:00 am – November 1, 2024 @ 1:00 pm
This workshop is open to 8-14yr olds
It is a well-known fact that hedgehog numbers have declined considerably in recent years, in some areas of countryside Hedgehog numbers may have decreased by as much as 75% since the year 2000 according to the ‘State of Britain’s Hedgehogs’ report released in 2022.
Despite being under threat there are lots of things we can do to help the humble hog, attend one of our ‘Wild Academy’ days during half term to discover what you can do to help!
Through these educational workshops Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) aims to inspire a love and understanding of the countryside, develop knowledge of conservation and encourage the next generation to take meaningful steps that will make a difference to wildlife on their doorstep.
