Join the Elite Adventures team for this fantastic opportunity to take a guided walk to the roof of Wales – Snowdon (1085m) A truly unique opportunity to join a like-minded group, get active and savour the wide expansive views across Snowdonia from the highest mountain in Wales.

The Rhyd Ddu path is one of the quietest routes up the mountain and you will see Snowdon from a completely different angle to those taking on the more popular Llanberis, Pyg or Miners tracks. You should expect a full day on the mountain with areas of steep ascent.

This event will appeal to everyone from seasoned adventurers to Sunday hikers. The group will be fully guided, getting you safely up to the mountain summit. This is an ideal walk for anyone who would like to summit the highest mountain in Wales and use a more remote path up the mountain. This does include a short section which is classed as a ridge walk so a reasonable head for heights is required. The Elite Adventures team of mountain leaders will be with you each step of the way and do what they can to minimise any risk to the participants. The walk is aimed at all experience levels however, you will need to be reasonably fit to ensure your own enjoyment and that of the group as the trip will take around 7 hours.

You will be fully guided by qualified mountain leaders.

All sponsorship goes directly to Secret World via your fundraising page. We’ll be in touch after you’ve registered to help set one up. At least 50% of the sponsorship target should be with Secret World by 3 weeks prior to the Challenge. At this time we will confirm with Elite Adventures you are on track to meet the agreed minimum fundraising target. Failure to raise this amount may result in cancellation, or you may be asked to cover the difference yourself. The remaining 50%, and any extra, should be with Secret World by 4 weeks after the Challenge.

The walk will take place in most weathers but the leader will reserve final judgement on the day (in most cases) and maintains the right to abandon any walk if they feel the safety of themselves or any participant is at risk.

Registration is handled by Elite Adventures. You can sign up here: https://eliteadventures.co.uk/product/snowdon/

They have a great selection of open events throughout the year, not just the Snowdon challenge we’re promoting. If another challenge is more appealing to you, go for it! Whatever you choose, these hikes are a fantastic way to help sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.
