Home Educator Day: All About Secret World Wildlife Rescue
February 23, 2027 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Discover the hidden world of wildlife rescue!
In this engaging session, young people will step behind the scenes to explore the work we do at Secret World Wildlife Rescue. From injured hedgehogs to orphaned owlets, our team cares for thousands of wild animals every year.
Participants will learn about the vital role of wildlife rescue centres, what to do if they find an injured animal, and how our staff and volunteers help wildlife return to the wild. After learning the theory, everyone will have the chance to practise safe and responsible rescue techniques using our specialist equipment in a fun, hands-on activity.
This session is ideal for anyone interested in animal care, wildlife, or conservation.
Refreshments for attendees are included in the ticket price. Adults are welcome to stay, or children may be dropped off and collected at the end of the session.
Please note: Secret World is a working wildlife hospital, and for welfare reasons there is no contact with the animals in our care.
